General Stocks Onboarding

To start:

Open NGN Stocks on the Sycamore mobile app and select "Proceed to complete setup." You will be required to complete your Tier 2 onboarding at the very least, and then provide the additional information required for your Stocks Trading account.

Do I need to complete Tier 2 before opening a Stocks Trading account?

Yes. Tier 2 must be completed before you can proceed with your Stocks Trading account setup. This is because the Stocks onboarding builds on the information already collected during your Tier 2 onboarding.

Why do I need to complete Tier 2 first?

Tier 2 provides some of the core customer information required before the additional Stocks Trading account setup can begin. Completing it first ensures that we have the required customer information before proceeding with the stockbroker's onboarding process.

I have already completed Tier 2. Do I need to do it again?

No. If your Tier 2 onboarding has already been completed, you can proceed with the additional information required for your Stocks Trading account.

Why do you need so much information to open a Stocks account?

The additional information is required by our stockbroker partner, Innova Securities Limited (Trove), as part of their account-opening and KYC process.

The information allows them to verify your identity, understand your financial and investment profile, and complete the checks required before your Stocks Trading account is approved.

Why can't I just use the information I already provided to Sycamore?

Some of the information required for a Stocks Trading account is specific to the stockbroker's onboarding requirements. We therefore need to collect the additional details required by our stockbroker partner before your account can be set up.

Who reviews the information I submit?

Once you submit all the required information, your details are sent to Innova Securities Limited (Trove), our stockbroker partner, for review and approval.
