Why do I need to verify my device when I change my phone?

To comply with regulatory guidelines and protect your account, only one device can be linked to your account at a time.

According to CBN requirements, when you change your phone, your previously linked device must first be unlinked before your new device can be verified and connected to your account.

This security measure helps to:

  • Protect your account from unauthorized access

  • Prevent fraudulent activities

  • Ensure your account remains secure during device changes

If you no longer have access to your old device, you may be required to complete additional verification steps before your new device can be linked successfully by reaching out to the Support Team either via in-app chat, 0201-700-3497, or complaints@sycamore.ng

This process adds an extra layer of protection by confirming that you are the rightful owner of the account and are accessing it from a trusted device.
